If you were to ask a classmate or employer to describe me, the word they would most likely use is meticulous - so meticulous that I've been described by a previous manager of mine as the ideal QA tester (do with that what you will). Although those that I've worked with definitely give me too much credit, I do pride myself in my attention to detail, and, frankly, slight obsession with ensuring that the overall narrative and flow of a project is as cohesive as possible. Combine these with my love for Figma and ability to scroll endlessly through beautiful art and design, and you can get a sense of my work style: detail-oriented, aesthetically-motivated, and always working to craft a story.

Having been fortunate to grow up in an environment that valued art and empathy, I have always felt a connection to design, specifically using creative problem solving for user and community-centered designs. I am most excited when learning about the lives, traditions, and hopes of others, not only within the context of design, but the larger context of life. Some of the greatest joys of my collegiate career have been speaking with a variety of people for upper-level design projects and hearing their life stories. Through my work, I continuously strive to deepen my understanding of and empathy for others and honor the trust that is placed in me as a designer by creating products and services that create meaningful change for those who are in need.

When not working or exploring various side projects, I can be found painting, drawing, reading a good book (hard science fiction is a favorite), or trying out a new recipe. On days when I'm feeling particularly adventurous, I am most likely either building harmonies to my favorite songs or getting myself purposefully lost in order to find new places to admire (and possibly sketch). No matter the context, I always try to look for sources of inspiration and beauty!
